‘Working to a tight budget and strict regulations dictated by a conservation area, Keith delivered what I didn’t believe possible within a traditional Victorian terrace… he approached our project with enthusiasm and creativity. Keith’s work speaks for itself, and I would have no hesitation recommending him.’

Islington House

A bedroom and small study were added to the unused loft space of a two bed maisonette in Islington, North London.

The new stairwell brings light down into the centre of the floorplan, and through stack ventilation pulls fresh air up through the flat during summer months. The top lit triple height circulation spine links all the habitable rooms, and creates a bright and open core within the property.

Location: Islington, London
Status: Completed Winter 2010
