STUDIOCARVER is an architecture and design practice founded by Keith Carver. Our work ranges from commercial projects to individual homes and bespoke furniture. Across all sectors, from the thrill of engaging with a new design problem, to its detail, construction and completion, is a commitment to finding solutions that are right for the client, their brief and the surroundings. We believe the role of good design is to enhance environments for people. Our approach develops an architecture through observation and investigation; architecture that responds to material, light, environment, and most of all its users. We delight in finding innovations that make each project quietly extraordinary. At the same time we maintain always the core principles of sustainability and good design, ensuring our work remains functional and flexible. STUDIOCARVER encompasses over 15 years of experience in housing, offices, academic buildings and masterplanning. We offer a full range of architectural and design services, from site appraisals and concept designs to guiding complex schemes through the planning process and on to completion. We apply a rigorous eye to quality and detail but most important we pride ourselves on our relationships with our clients. We understand that true success is achieved through client satisfaction and put utmost importance on client engagement through all stages of the design process.

Keith Carver founded STUDIOCARVER in 2011 following six successful years working in London with Studio Partington. As an associate at Studio Partington, Keith led numerous competition entries and commercial projects, most notably Greenfields Community Housing head office and community facilities in 2009. Keith led this £5m project, delicately marrying the needs of office and community space, and incorporating specially commissioned artworks inspired by local residents. Prior to Studio Partington Keith Carver traveled extensively across the Americas, Asia and Europe, working at architectural practices in Singapore, New Zealand and the USA. He spent three years at the award winning practice, Architectus Auckland where he was involved on projects ranging from bespoke one off houses to academic facilities. Keith Carver studied architecture at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the National University of Singapore in Singapore. He is from Boston, Massachusetts and has been living in London since 2004.

North House

A small kitchenette and bathroom were added to the first floor of this historical listed building in Dublin, Ireland.

Using a similar palette to the existing structure, and raising the extension from the building line with a continuous recessed channel, achieved an addition that is simultaneously contemporary and sympathetic to the historic facade.
